Subject Specific Mentoring

Mentors are recruited from local Businesses, Universities, Health and Social Care establishments and Leisure, Recreation & Tourism providers. University and Business mentors can support GNVQ / AVCE students research on projects and coursework. They mentor students on Pre or Post 16 Vocational courses. Leeds Mentoring has developed a number of subject specific mentoring projects at both pre and post 16 levels. The programmes have been developed in conjunction with the Aimhigher curriculum network co-ordinators, local business, schools, colleges and universities. They aim to raise the aspirations of students and increase the numbers of students progressing onto particular courses at University and into the professions.
